🌎🪆 Cultural Connections in Action! 🪆🌎
Today, Mrs. Velasquez’s high school Spanish students visited Ms. Jensen’s 6th grade ELA classes to share the tradition of muñecas quitapenas (worry dolls).
Students taught a few Spanish words, explained the cultural importance of the tradition, and guided the sixth graders in creating their own worry dolls.
It was wonderful to see our high school students step into leadership roles while helping younger students make meaningful cultural connections! 🧡🖤

Shout out to Ethan Townsend. Ethan has been mentoring middle school students about responsibility, positive behavior, and making good choices.
